homestretch.

Today I had my 33 week OB appointment.
I always look forward to my doctors visits when I'm pregnant.  Not only do I get to hear an update on my little nugget growing within, but I get a little over an hour to myself.*  I usually leave the house about fifteen minutes before I need to so I can stop at Panera and grab a bagel & cream cheese and a frozen caramel.  I'm only there for about 10-15 minutes before I need to scoot on over to my doctor's office, but it is really therapeutic.  I look forward to it.

I had a stressful night last night.  Things have started to catch up with me.
I'm 33 weeks pregnant.
I'm achey.
I almost always have heartburn.
I have a needy two-year-old.
My mom has cancer and had major surgery a month ago.
My house is messy.
I have a lot to do before Baby Yellow arrives and a lack of motivation.
Aaaaand it's a house payment check - nuff said.
All those things stink.

One little phrase from my doctor made me feel much better though,
"You're in the homestretch."

*That might not sound like a big deal, (especially if you don't have kids) but I am almost never completely alone.

Winter Doldrums

Ahhhhh, computers fixed.

The last couple weeks were excruciating boring.  If you read my last post you know that our house has been without our main TV and our computer - especially awful when you're stuck inside most of the time.  They were both in the shop at the same time.  It really made me realize how addicted this generation is to technology.  The hardest part of it all was that we couldn't use our TiVo either, so we actually had to be (gasp)   on time for our shows if we didn't want to miss any.

The good thing is I spent a lot of time watching movies in my room with my daughter and also got thinking about things that need to happen before D-Day.  I'm 33 weeks pregnant now and I can't make myself get anything done.  I need to sort Haven's old clothes into sizes so they are ready for Baby Yellow to wear; buy and put together Baby Yellow's new bassinet; clean, clean, clean;  and fix and clean the infant carseat.

View of my 33 week belly from my POV.
I thought I'd change it up for you guys since I'm constantly posting belly pics.

Haven wanted to be in a picture, too...

...which I thought pretty much summed up our last couple weeks.
