It's only been a year and a month since my last post, but who's counting?!
I've had an eventful year to say the least.
I bought and sold a salon. That took up a ton of my time, mental and physical effort, and to be honest I didn't have any more energy than that to give after I spent my remaining time with my family.
There's a lot I could say about that, but really what it came down to is that I love my family way more than pretty much anything else and being a business owner got in the way of spending time with them.
I'm now much happier. I'm still doing hair but much more part-time, so I am able to spend a lot of time with my beloved husband and kiddos.
And the biggest news, which most of you know already, is that I am pregnant with baby #4 (due February 10)! Right now I am 13 weeks and feeling pretty darn good. This has been by far my easiest pregnancy thus far. Barely any morning sickness - like pretty much none. I am tired in the afternoons and occasionally take naps, and sometimes I get nauseous if I don't eat - but besides that I am really doing well.
Haven is going to be 7 years old in 10 days, Parker turned 4 in April, and Asa turned 2 in April.
Haven is a silly, dramatic, independent princess. She loves Shopkins, being a little mother (i.e. bossing around her little sister), and will be going into 1st grade at the end of this month.
We joke that Parker is a sniper at night after we put her to sleep - seriously, this girl is unique as they come. She is mischievous and spunky and beautiful, and she will be starting pre-school at the end of the month.
Asa is possibly the sweetest baby there ever was. I've never met a more caring little boy. If anybody is hurting or sick or sad he immediately comforts them by hugging or kissing them. He will grab my cheeks and look into my eyes and say, "Ok, mommy? Ok?" Maybe he will grow up to be some sort of care-giver. Doctor, nurse, psychologist... I wouldn't be surprised.
Another big part of why I've been absent is that my laptop has been on the fritz for probably a good year. I am so lucky to have a husband who loves me and appreciates me. I told him I really needed a new laptop and he decided to get me a brand new MacBook Air yesterday. So I'm back in business! I'm hoping to be more present here but I never like to promise that. It's like publicly announcing that you're dieting - a quick way to fail.
So I'll end with saying, maybe I'll see ya, maybe I won't, but I hope it's sooner than later.
